Your future is yours and yours alone. So don’t let anyone else influence your hopes and wishes or tell you what goals you should start making for yourself. These people don’t know better than you, no matter how ‘smart’ they are. And although the fact that they’re trying to tell you how to run your life might annoy the heck out of you, you can’t fly off the handle and tell them off. Be sympathetic. They want to boss you around because they feel so powerless over their own life.
